OUR STORY

Established in Australia in the 1990’s Insulin For Life (IFL) is a registered charity with the mission of :

  • Providing in-date unopened diabetes supplies to clinics for the poor in disadvantaged countries.
  • Undertaking practical research to improve diabetes outcomes in disadvantaged regions.
  • Advocacy for disadvantaged people with or at risk of diabetes.

IFL supports people with insulin requiring diabetes irrespective of their age, sex, ethnicity, religion or politics. We partner with local healthcare clinics, not individuals with diabetes, so that essential healthcare professional input is available for optimal health outcomes.

OF THE WORLD'S 430 MILLION PEOPLE WITH DIABETES, 75% LIVE IN DISADVANTAGED REGIONS

FOR EVERY 2 PEOPLE ALIVE WITH TYPE 1 DIABETES, 1 PERSON HAS DIED PREMATURELY DUE TO LACK OF BASIC CARE

THE COST OF DIABETES CONSUMABLES CAN BE UP TO 14 TIMES A POOR FAMILIES INCOME

INSULIN, SYRINGES AND BLOOD SUGAR TESTING SUPPLES ARE DAILY REQUIRED CONSUMABLES FOR PEOPLE WITH DIABETES
 
 
 
 

SECRET SANTA

Secret Santa IFL is an annual awareness and fund-raising program (active early December – Jan 7th) to provide running costs (such as to purchase or ship diabetes supplies). A donor will receive a receipt and can create a donation certificate to send to their family, friend or colleague notifying them of their life-easing and life-saving gift. Each AUD$5 can provide diabetes consumables for one week.
 

HOW TO DONATE

Using the above Donate button will take you to PayPal. There you can donate a chosen amount either from your PayPal account or any Debit/Credit Card. Be sure to supply your email address so we can email you a receipt.

This email will also contain a link that can be used to personalise and create your Donation Certificate. Once complete, you can view, download or print the presented PDF containing your Certificate. The link will redisplay the Certificate with your personalised details.
 
 

OUR AFFILIATES

IFL has affiliates in a number countries (see below) that collect and distribute diabetes supplies. IFL Global (in Australia) assists with awareness, advocacy and resources.

We regularly support clinics, hospitals and diabetes associations in over 35 countries, including some locally led diabetes camps for youth and community diabetes day.
